Do I/my child need to be a member of the club to join clubs, camps and training days?
No, you do not have to be a member of LPA to attend training days and camps, this is open to all athletes. However, for weekly training clubs we do ask that you join the LPA, to ensure you receive all communications and relevant training information.
Am I/my child insured through the LPA if we join as members?
We can offer you 4 sessions, to include weekly club sessions, training days or camps.
However, after this period you must become a member of Pentathlon GB to ensure you or your child are insured to train and compete.

How do I pay for clubs, camps and training days?
We send out invoices for weekly clubs, payable via BAC's.
Summer and Easter camps are booked and paid through Leweston School.
Training days are paid via BAC's.

We send out kit lists for each training day/camp. We don't expect you to buy specific equipment such as laser guns and fencing equipment. We have everything here and this is all included in our sessions. You will need basic kit, such as sports clothes, trainers, swimsuit, hat and goggles and a bike for triathlon.
What training sessions can my child attend and how much do they cost?
All after school sessions are open to everyone, as well as our training days and camps.
Training Days cost £20 to members and £25 to non members.
A termly booking of 9/10 weeks, costs approximately £65.
Camp prices are dependant on how many days are attended.

My child has never tried fencing or shooting before. Can they still join?
Leweston Pentathlon Academy welcomes beginners. We have experienced coaches that are qualified and able to teach from the very beginning up to international level. We can offer a taster session to see if your child likes it, before signing up to the sessions.
Do I/my child need to be able to swim to join the club?
If you or your child wish to partake in any swim training or events, then we ask that you/your child can swim 100mtrs without floatation. This is to ensure safety at all times. We offer additional swim training at our weekend training days and holiday camps.
Can adults join the club and train?
Absolutely! Leweston Pentathlon Academy welcomes adults to our late afternoon and evening sessions.
Do I or my child have to do full Pentathlon or can we choose which disciplines we like?
The great thing about pentathlon, is that you can choose which disciplines suit you best. As well as full pentathlon, we offer training for the following:
